Nice Security Guards!

Went to see Noah and the Whale last week. Second time I’ve seen them and they’re great and getting better.

This time the venue was the HMV Institute in Birmingham. A fantastic old Edwardian Chapel which makes a wonderful, if slightly surreal venue for a gig. I dread to think what the founders of the place would have made of the noise and the clothes that are now a regular part of life there.

We had to sit at the back ‘cos me back is still painful so it was a shame not to be down wth the crowds. But I was pleasantly surprised by the security guys who helped me find a seat on the way in and the sight of security people handing out free cups of water to the audience down the front who had been there for ages and were hot, and I guess at risk of dehydrating.

Good gig, good venue, good security, good night.
